The Central Public Works Department (Hindi: केंद्रीय लोक निर्माण विभाग) of India is a central government owned authority that is in charge of public sector works in the country. Central Public Works Department (CPWD) under Ministry of Urban Development is entrusted with construction and maintenance of buildings for most of the Central Government Departments, Public undertakings and autonomous bodies.
